CPA PROCESS FOR USE AND SELECTION OF SUBSTITUTES

This process is to be used where substitutes are available and named on County Team sheets.

1. No player will be substituted in the first two sessions.

2. Players who won either 3 or 4 frames in the previous match will be exempt from substitution until after the 3^rd session.

3. No player will be substituted at any point in a match if they win there first 2 frames.

4. After the second session, players who have not won a frame will be first to be substituted.

5. If more than one player has lost both their first 2 frames, they will be ranked by assessment of their number of frames won to date during the current season and the capatins will then make assessment of how well they have played during the first two sessions and substitutions will be made accordingly. If this is the first match of the season, these players will be ranked by by how many frames they won in the previous season.

6. If after the second session no players have lost both frames, no substitutions will be made for the third session.

7. After the third session, players who have lost 2 frames will be first to be substituted.

8. If more than one player has lost 2 out of 3 frames, they will be ranked and assessed as previously stated.

9. Incoming substitutes will be played in order they are written on the substitutes list on the back of the match sheet. The order of substitutes written on the sheet will be agreed between the Team Manager and respective team captains prior to the start of the match.
